How It All Started
In 1990, I left a job I couldn’t stand and moved to Victoria to start fresh. I placed an ad in the newspaper offering consulting services, and just like that, my first client arrived—someone I still work with today.
Since then, I’ve worked with countless businesses, solving problems, creating strategies, and making sense of financial puzzles. Along the way, I’ve picked up connections, skills, and lifelong friends.
Business can be tough, and entrepreneurs often feel like they’re in it alone. I believe in real conversations, real solutions, and real results.
I arrived in Victoria on August 29, 1990, it has treated me well and I never forget that. I will always work to give something back.
After working in Toronto and Winnipeg, I wanted a new place to write and play music, find other opportunities, and continue my accounting skills.
I came to Victoria to start something ‘new’ – through my name in the paper as a consultant looking for work, and voila – it came!
I began working for Bob Halsey, working as controller for his group of companies, including Jeune Bros Tent & Awning Ltd. This grew to property manager and other opportunities.
For the next 10 years, I continued to write and perform my music, while running and expanding the businesses. That has been the story, always moving and working on something.
Along the road we picked up connections, skills, friends, and opportunities in this great city.
Our firm has been involved in launching start up enterprises and helping them grow into the fabric of success of this city.
At this point of the journey what we offer is real advice you can use right away, we know how to get things done because we have done them and continue to spur success in our clients.
Accounting systems, operations planning, HR consultation, starting up, winding down, bringing in partners, there is not a lot in business we have not seen or dealt with.
We have been here for over 30 years, we know the lay of the land and we will be here tomorrow.
